Active Kent & Medway are part of Kent County Council, and its aim and priorities are to help get more people, more active, more often.

The Kent Trust for Youth Sport, Active Kent & Medway can provide funding to support clubs and organisations develop projects that encourage and support children, young people and families to be active. The grant aims to encourage and increase participation in physical activity by residents within Kent County Council or Medway Council administrative areas (excludes London Boroughs).

Funding up to £500 could be available for applications that include costs for taster days, equipment costs, venue hire costs or coaching costs. The project should aim to either re-engage with their previous audience and/or encourage those new to activity to become more active. £500 may not sound like a lot of money, but it can go a long way towards giving local communities the resources and opportunity to try new activities which could then go on to becoming a regular part of their lives.
