Residents are requested to be aware of the current high fire risk, due to exceptionally dry conditions. You may have seen news coverage of grass and crop fires in the county and fires that have destroyed homes elsewhere yesterday. These can spread quickly and easily and be catastrophic.

Kent Fire & Rescue has issued guidance for those enjoying barbecues.

There have reports of bonfires being lit recently in the Parish, please wait for the safety of you and your neighbours.

Advice is available from Ashford Borough Council on garden bonfires. Remember that you must not burn houseold waste or cause a nuisance.
