Great News! The Neighbourhood Plan is now officially part of the Ashford Development Plan.
Following the referendum in July, when 93% of people voting returned a YES vote to the Neighbourhood Plan, Ashford Borough Council has now officially adopted the Plan. This means that it will be included in the policies used to decide the outcome of Planning Applications.
You will be pleased to read in the minutes from a Cabinet Meeting that the Portfolio Holder 'said he wanted to express his thanks to those in the village who had put in the hard work to develop this plan and he was happy to endorse it.'
The Parish Council echoes this sentiment, as the contribution and enthusiasm of so many people in the Parishes has enabled the Plan to come to fruition..
A hard copy of the document, along with the final version of the NP will be sent to the Ashford Gateway Library, and can be seen online. It will also be available to view at the Civic Centre in Ashford
