Openreach - Temporary Road Closure - A28 Canterbury Road, Kennington - 12th April 2026 (Ashford District)
Due to works planned to be undertaken by Openreach, it will be necessary to close part of A28 Canterbury Road, Kennington from 12th April 2026 for up to one day, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between numbers 249 and 271, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A28 Canterbury Road, A2070 Willesborough Road, Kennington Road, Willesborough Interchange, A2070 M20 J10 Roundabout, A2070 Spur From M20 J10, A292 Hythe Road, Mace Lane, Somerset Road, A2042 North Street, Simone Weil Avenue, A28 Canterbury Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole and cabling works are undertaken by Openreach
